VAPING
AWARENSS
Vaping is not harmless. Most e-cigarettes contain nicotine, which is highly addictive and can affect brain development, attention, learning, mood, and impulse control in youth and young adults.
What Parents and Youth Should Know
E-cigarettes may look like pens, USB drives, highlighters, watches, or small handheld devices. Many are flavored, which can make them more appealing to young people.
Youth e-cigarette use decreased from 2.13 million in 2023 to 1.63 million in 2024, but vaping remains the most commonly used tobacco product among U.S. youth.
